Building Your Child's Educational Pathway

Rachel Mainguy
Founder/Educator
Whether you're just beginning your homeschooling journey, looking to strengthen your child's learning plan, planning to integrate your child into the public education system, or seeking guidance on curriculum and long-term pathways, through an education consultation you will receive practical, individualized support designed to help your child thrive.
When you book a consultation with Halton Hills Homeschool Academy, you'll be working directly with Rachel Mainguy, an Ontario Certified Teacher with over 20 years of experience supporting children and families across a wide range of learning needs.
Rachel has taught Primary, Junior, and Intermediate students, with additional qualifications and experience in Special Education. Throughout her career, she has worked not only as a classroom teacher, but also as a literacy and numeracy coach, helping students, educators, and families build strong foundations for learning.
Her experience includes developing individualized learning plans, differentiated curriculum, behaviour supports, and next-step learning pathways for children with diverse strengths, interests, and needs. She has also led curriculum development and created enriched learning opportunities that encourage curiosity, engagement, and deeper thinking.
Rachel's approach is grounded in the belief that every child learns differently. By taking time to understand each learner's strengths, interests, and goals, she helps families create meaningful educational plans that are both academically sound and personally relevant.
Every family has different goals and support needs. After learning more about your child and what you're looking for, Rachel will recommend the most appropriate level of support and provide a personalized quote before any services begin.
